Students Solve Real Nuclear Problems

The Global Passport Project creates an unique learning experience for our students. Representatives from First Energy presented students with a choice of two scenarios experienced at the power station. Our students took a step out of the classroom and into the role of Nuclear Engineers to face the task of exploring options to resolve either scenario.

Through our website and presentations we have taken a role into global citizenship and working within an ever connected online community. We have also experienced several problem solving scenarios such as the importance of team work and leadership in an academic setting – all essential skills for success in the world today.

Below you will see the two problems presented by First Energy for students to investigate - multiple solutions are posted under each problem.
